Choosing fonts, paper, illustrations, etc. appropriate to the subject matter is a prerequisite for good book editing. The binding and typography here evoke the newspaper context with subtle hints, are unusual in many ways, but meaningful and justified, and take the book to the next level. As a subjective criterion, however, I set the strength of the statement that the whole book makes – and in this case the editing not only underlines but multiplies it. Graphic designer Barbora Klimszová has made a very engaging adventure out of a reportage about a social group we often pass by, accessible and interesting to the widest possible range of readers.
